EVERYONE loves a bit of movie glamour and Saturday night at the Hall For Cornwall was the “reel” deal for film buffs”

“But there was no acting, no cinematography, no special effects, no glorious technicolour. There was surround-sound in a way, though, as we were surrounded by the sound of the movies, surrounded by some magnificent music”

“…..Under the old film classifications, I would have rated it X for Xcellent. Nowadays it would have to be PG, for Perfectly Grand”

This is a show, a tour, that spreads magic as it goes. Somehow you expect the songs of Hollywood to be mostly dramatic ballads……..but Liza’s comic, often flirty delivery, sets a different tone.

Liza Pulman’s show is a feel-good one, where your heart beats a little faster, your smile grows a little wider, and you feel positively uplifted as you head home.

Eye was smitten.”

The Timeless Music Of Burt Bacharach & Barbra Streisand

On March 14th 1971, Burt Bacharach and Barbra Streisand duetted together in a one-off TV special broadcast by CBS and shown all around the world. It was an hour-long intimate conversation about Life, love and music between two huge stars who were clearly enamoured of each other’s extraordinary gifts. In What the World needs now…

Liza Pulman brings you a show of warmth and charm and humour that pays homage to these great artists in her own unique way. Her beautiful voice, extraordinary vocal range and musical talent make her the perfect person to guide you through these much loved melodies.

She is joined once again at the piano by her brilliant musical director, collaborator and orchestrator Joseph Atkins, and a quartet of the most laid-back musicians in town! Come, and spend an evening revelling in her company and the oh-so-cool sounds of the 60’s and 70’s.

Touring from May 2017

The gorgeous voice of Liza Pulman (of Fascinating Aïda) joins with Gareth Williams, winner of the 2013 British Jazz awards for piano, to spend some time in the company of Harold Arlen, one of the most prolific contributors to the Great American Songbook and undeniably one of the greatest songwriters of the 20th century. With over 500 songs including Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive, Blues In The Night, Stormy Weather, Get Happy and, of course, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, to choose from, GET HAPPY will remind you of the joy of those songs you know so well and introduce you to several that you don’t.
